The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 2.8

Multiple Image Resizer .NET is a Windows application designed for managing, resizing, converting and making simple editions of digital snapshots or pictures. Compatible with the common image formats, it has useful features that maintain image editing without losing quality.

The program is capable of processing images in batch mode. It can automatically resize a complete folder with large digital pictures at once. Though the quality of the image is determined automatically to prevent losses, the users are able to select image output resolution in dots per inch to obtain the desired results.

Multiple Image Resizer .NET is simple, and has a customizable tabbed interface with icons along the bottom that provide options for rotating, cropping, processing images, and adding text to them, as well as other handling features.

In the new version users can find an enhanced display that shows before-and-after views of selected images. Another new feature is that more interface languages are available. As of this version the program works with Windows 7 and Server editions.

On the downside, even though the designers claim that the quality is retained, it can be observed that there is quality loss. The interface is simple but so simple that not all the options and actions show clearly what they will do.
  • Free.
  • Batch image resizing.
  • Customizable resolution.
  • Accepts JPG, GIF, TIFF, EXIF, PNG, EMF, & ICO formats.
  • Badly organized interface.
  • No help available.
